6 months!!!!

Just a little update on our little girl. I am officially 6 months pregnant. Only 16 weeks to go. I feel like it is taking forever, but I know it will be worth it when she gets here (I am not the most patient person). I have been feeling her kick for a few weeks now, but this past week it was more of a kick feeling and not a bunch of fluters. A really amazing experience. I look forward to the day when Todd can feel her kick. So far this has been a very easy pregnancy and I am very grateful for that.

We have purchased and put together all her furniture. Well Todd put it together and I watched. He is such a good husband and daddy-to-be!! We got her crib and changing table half price at target which was totally a God thing!!!!! We live an hour away from a target and one night we went and Todd discovered a crib (the one I wanted but did not want to pay full price for) and the changing table in the clearance section. I was so excited!!!!!!!! We think someone had ordered it online and decided they did not want. God is so good!! I will post pictures once the room is put together.

Now for her name. I know you are just dying to know!! Todd and I had an easy time picking out a girls name. We had another name picked out when Todd mention this name and I feel in love with it. Have I kept you in suspense long enough! Her name will be.........Harper Grace Higgs!!!!

It's a girl!!!!

Todd and I are proud to announce that we are having a baby GIRL!!!!!!! We were rooting for a boy because Todd is the only one to carry on the family name. Guess we will just keep trying for a boy (in a few years). However, we are excited that we are having a girl. Overall, we just wanted a healthy baby and she is. The ultra sound was such a neat experience for us. We were able to see the four chambers of her heart, legs, knees, elbows, hands (which were tucked under her head), her spine, and a little bit of her face. The nurse said she was standing on top of her head and was very active (just like her momma :)). I could not be more excited and even more eager to meet her. I guess I will just have to wait about 22 more weeks. I am doing well and slowly starting to show. I just looks like I have gotten fat in the stomach. Hopefully it will look like a baby bump soon. We are having a BABY!!!!!!!!

Most of you know by now, but Todd and I are expecting our 1st child in late December (12-26). We could not be more excited and thankful to the Lord for this awesome new journey that he as lead us to!!!! So I will be blogging more especially when the baby comes. Christmas will could be different this year, but will totally be worth it and extra special (not to take away from Jesus)!!! I feel like a kid again counting down the days until it's Christmas. However, I am trying to enjoy the now time and not wish away this special time.

I am 12 weeks today and so far doing great. I have been sick, but it is only about 2 or 3 times a week so I am grateful because it could be all day every day. So please pray everything continues to go well. I will keep you updated!
